Harmony Project's Musical Director, Vernon Hairston, needs our help.
Vernon has prostate cancer, and a tumor on one kidney that requires the removal of the kidney. He is traveling to NYC where he will see one of the top urologists in the nation.
Vernon is an independent musician....meaning, he is self-employed. The next several months will be challenging for Vernon as his capacity to take on work will be limited. That's where we come in.
We are his extended musical family. This is not a Harmony Project request, it is a request for friends of Vernon to give what they can. $10, $25, $100...$1000...or if all you can give is a prayer, he's accepting those, too.
We want to surprise Vernon at the June 19th rehearsal and let him know that we love him and are here for him by presenting him with a check to help offset his significant expenses.
Any gift is meaningful and measurable, and every gift will help decrease stress for Vernon during this challenging time in his life.
