A Little Help From Friends: Farmer Fund
Donation protected
In August 2023, I was involved in a chain-reaction auto accident while in commute to take care of chicken chores. The accident resulted in a total loss. I applied for an auto loan to get back on the road, ultimately to fulfill my responsibility as a vegetable farmer and livestock steward. With said loan, I will be in debt for at least thirty-six months, which will make it challenging to afford living expenses.
In September 2023, my father passed away. I would like to help my family afford end-of life expenses, including the purchase of a gravesite headstone.
Last year, I received a loan to start an enterprise (Moonstone Poultry), with the hopes of offering fresh eggs and pasture-raised broilers to CSA members at Three Part Harmony Farm. With your help, I can continue providing our flock unconditional care while making on-time loan payments.
40% or $8,000 of the raised the funds will be used to payback auto loan, 20% or $4,000 of the raised the raised funds will be used to purchase a gravesite headstone + contribute to my father's end-of life expenses; the remaining 40% or $8,000 will be used to payback the livestock micro loan.
I farm daily, from sunrise to sunset, my earnings alone are not enough to keep me from spiraling into debt. I need a little help from friends to make sure that I can continue to farm (grow food) with peace of mind.
