Our friend and colleague, Starla Cook and her husband, Brian Young , were involved in a serious car accident on June 6th while vacationing in Texas.  Devastatingly, Brian did not survive the accident.  While grieving, Starla has spent the last couple of weeks at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio recovering from serious injuries resulting from the accident.   She has a long road ahead of her – rehabilitation, surgery, healing, returning to the Carolinas and finding her “new normal.”  However, in typical Starla fashion, she’s strong, focused and is planning for both her emotional and physical recovery.
