Dear friends,

 

Our friend Tony Gonzalez could use our help. He has been coping with pulmonary fibrosis, a progressive lung disease in which the lungs accumulate scar tissue, for several years. The disease has progressed to the point that he now requires oxygen supplementation. He has been caring for horses of the Southern California circuit when they fly for many years, however he cannot have supplemental oxygen with him on flights. I am helping him apply for Social Security disability benefits, but since it can take some months for that to start I was hoping we might be able to help him pay his monthly bills in the meantime. As you know, Tony is the type of friend who will go out of his way to help anyone (or any animal) in any way he can. During my time in practice at Hollywood Park, I knew I could count on him when I needed any help. After I became disabled and was unable to drive, Tony helped me get to the store (as in the photo above :) ). I hope we can repay a bit of the goodwill and kindness he has always shown to others. Please help me help our wonderful friend in this challenging time.
