Hi everyone, this is The Murrays, Chris and Denise.

We're reaching out to you today on behalf of our friend Daryl Bell. He could really use some help right now, and we're hoping that the community of sportswriters, journalists and Friends of Daryl's can provide that help.

You see, Daryl is in rehab right now due to his having a stroke. We talked to him a couple of days ago, and while he's not quite at the level of Daryl-ness we're all used to seeing, he's in good spirits.

While he's got insurance, his wife, Nancy, is going to need some help taking care of him once he gets home. That help, unfortunately, isn't going to be cheap.

So, we're trying to raise $5,000 to make sure Daryl and Nancy have what they need. Every little bit helps and will be much appreciated. And while you're at it, send a prayer or two as well.

We're going to keep you posted on Daryl's recovery, so watch this space.

Again, we thank you for taking the time to read this and for any help that you can give our friend. We've both known and worked with him for a while and are hoping that he can get back in the press box sooner rather than later.
