A little help for our dear friend Jackie Vaughan
Donation protected
Hi all, my name is Robin Delaney Tregenza and I am reaching out to all in hopes that you can donate to our sweet friend, Jackie Vaughan. Anyone that knows Jackie, knows what a kind, funny, joyful, smart, loving, giving, hard working and inclusive person she is. Our DHS Class of '83 were lucky enough to spend time with Jackie last month at our 40th Reunion. Her infectious laugh, welcoming smile and hugs at the Friday night welcome event set the tone for the entire weekend. No one would have known that Jackie has been struggling throughout the year and that soon the stress would start taking a physical toll on her. Jackie has always been wildly independent and has made it through adversity with grace and humor, including her breast cancer diagnosis.
Over the last seven weeks Jackie has dealt with a severe bout of viral pink eye which created ulcers and her corneas swollen. It has left her unable to work, drive or see clearly. Jackie's eyesight continues to improve but she has not regained her full vision. Only time will tell. She was recently laid off from her newly appointed contract position which she was so excited about as it was a major career shift that she has been working towards for years. Jackie has been navigating all channels of public assistance to carry her through this moment in time, but it has not been easy or successful. As she waits for approvals and responses during the holiday season, her bills are mounting. She is in jeopardy of losing her home, is unable to focus on her recovery and all other bills are quickly becoming overdue.
Please consider making a donation, no matter how small, it all adds up. We can band together and offer Jackie the support and kindness she shows all that cross her path. She will be able to begin her 2024 focusing on her health, job hunting and getting back the financial security she so deserves.
Thank you in advance for you generosity!
