A little help for our buddy Cruz!

For a guy that would go to battle for anyone of us on or off the ice, we are fundraising to help Cruz cover some of his bills while he is unable to work due to an injury he sustained while being a team player.

 

Despite having an early start at work the next morning, Cruz took one for the team and laced them up because we were so short handed, bailing in the middle of movie night with his better half to come play with us at 10 pm.

 

On his very first shift of the game, Cruz caught an edge coming into the boards and bailed real hard, breaking his ankle and tearing all of its ligaments.

 

At the hospital the news didn’t get any better, as Cruz found out he would require surgery to repair and would be off work for an extended period of time. (Up to 3 months)

Unfortunately, as a team we also found out league insurance doesn’t cover lost wages due to injury.
