**Update Title: A Heartfelt Thank You + Latest Update on David’s Recovery

Dear friends, family, and kind supporters,

We wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for your generous donations, kind messages, and continued prayers. Your support has truly lifted David’s spirits during an incredibly challenging time.

Since our last update, David has been focusing on his recovery from the stroke he suffered in April. He is working hard in physical and occupational therapy. As many of you know, David is a dedicated high school swim and club coach who has given so much to his students. We’re happy to share that he’s been back on the pool deck coaching for over a month now and is doing well.

Thanks to your incredible generosity, the support from this GoFundMe has made a huge difference in David’s recovery. It has helped cover essential medical expenses and therapy sessions. Most importantly, it has given David the peace of mind to focus fully on healing and getting back to doing what he loves—coaching and mentoring young swimmers. We are truly grateful for every donation, message, and act of kindness during this time.

A month ago, my younger brother David suffered a stroke. While we’re incredibly thankful that he is improving, his road to recovery will take time and continued support.

David has insurance that covers his hospital stay and therapy, but each visit to a specialist comes with a high co-pay—and he sees several specialists every week if not every day. These costs are adding up quickly and creating a financial strain during an already difficult time.

David has recently begun easing back into coaching the age group swim team in Rockwall, TX—something he loves and has missed deeply. But no one knows yet when he’ll be able to return to full-time coaching or teaching.

David has always been there for others, and I know many of his friends feel like I do: wanting to help, but unsure how. If you’re able to give—even a little—it would make a big difference. Every bit helps cover these medical expenses so David can focus fully on healing and getting back to the work he loves.
