A Little Help for Chester
Hi friends, as you know, our furbaby, Chester, has been an important member of our family for 11 years. If you know us, you know he's usually sleeping nearby or begging for a treat. And, of course, he's a good boy!
On September 6th, Chester suffered three violent seizures. We rushed him to urgent care, where he stayed for five days. The staff at Access Veterinary Hospital was able to stabilize him and then worked around the clock to get him from critical to stable. He finally came back home on Sept 11th.
Chester's been relatively healthy his whole life, and these seizures surprised us. Intensive care at an animal hospital is not something we were prepared for. Every night, we hoped that the morning phone call about Chester's progress would be good. While we're happy that we found out what caused the seizures, the prognosis is leaning towards insulinoma; cancer of the pancreas. Cancer wasn't something we ever wanted to hear. We're happy that he's stable and has medication that will keep him comfortable now.
I'm not going to sugarcoat that I feel weird about asking for help for his hospital bills. But it's my birthday this Saturday, and as much as I love receiving gifts, I would be extremely grateful for donations towards Chester's vet bill this year. Any amount would be appreciated.
Now here are some cute photos of our family over the years. They're totally not meant to influence you at all.
Love
CJ, Jose, and mostly Chester
