Our wonderful Carol Ann needs our help. On January 17th, CA went to the ER with stomach pain. An initial scan showed a large mass that required emergency surgery. During the procedure they removed all that they could but the growth had spread. Our brilliant CA weathered that storm and is now at home on bedrest. However, the biopsy results have come back and we now know CA has ovarian cancer.
On top of this, CA had a gran mal seizure four months ago due to a rare side effect to a medication she was prescribed at the time. The seizure prevents CA from legally being able to drive for six months. The pandemic has been a burden on all of us, but with two kids and no steady income for months, the financial strain of this diagnosis is considerable. We all know CA as our strongest friend, but now even our strongest needs us.
CA's chemotherapy treatment will begin as soon as she has recovered from surgery. The money raised in this campaign will not only cover hospital bills, but also go directly towards groceries and rent. CA has always been there for us, and it's our time to be there for her and her little ones. Any amount helps.
