I started this fundraiser for my sister and my fur niece Kahlua, who’s been her sidekick for over a decade, in hopes that a few helping hands might ease a tough moment. Kahlua’s been part of my sister’s life since before she was 21 — through school, big moves, new cities, and building a life of her own. She’s more than a dog — she’s family.

Kahlua is facing a health issue that requires a procedure called a rhinoscopy this week to help get answers and guide next steps. The approximate cost is $9k (not including after care). My sister's doing everything she can for Kahlua, but this is one of those moments where a little help from the people who care can make all the difference.
