I am reaching out on behalf of the Padilla family, who are facing medical challenges. Unfortunately, Dixiana was rushed to the ER last week after she was discovered on the floor struggling to breathe by her daughter. The discovered a severe kidney infection, compounded with a kidney stone that had led her body into sepsis. The sepsis began to affect her lungs causing her o2 level to drop. After several days in the hospital and around the clock treatment trying to fight off the infection, having to be on o2 she underwent surgery to clear out the infection. We were notified that she had to be intubated mid surgery as she stopped breathing on her own. The infection was cleared by the grace of God she was released from the hospital a day later. The road ahead to recovery is long as she is prepping for another surgery this Friday. The financial toll it has taken is strenuous for the Padilla family as they try to maintain their home, provide groceries, food, and pay the medical expenses that have piled up during this time and being out of work. I am hoping and praying we can come together and help before it becomes to overwhelming and insurmountable. If you know the Padilla family Dixiana in particular, you know they would give the shirts off their backs. They have cemented themselves in the community cheering, supporting and always showing up. My prayer is that we can show up for them in their time of need.
