A Little Girl’s Fight to Heal

Donation protected

She’s just three years old, but has already endured a lifetime of pain.
Born with a fragile gut, misdiagnosed for months, and now reliant on medical nutrition to survive - this little girl urgently needs support to continue her care and reach expert doctors abroad (Munich or USA). These needs are not covered by insurance but they are central to her healing. They've helped her stabilize after years of painful symptoms, hospitalizations and complications - giving her a real chance to grow and thrive.
Her mother has done everything to protect and heal her — but now they need help and this campaign is their last hope to continue the care that has already changed little girls life.

—————————————————————————
My name is Loreta, I’m writing this on behalf of a dear friend and her 3-year-old daughter. This is not easy for her to share — but the need is real, and I couldn’t stay silent watching them struggle alone. Her little girl is healing from a very complex digestive condition — and their journey has been long, sacred, and fragile.
When her daughter was born, her birth was natural, but after her waters broke, labor wasn’t induced in time. This led to a difficult start: her baby needed resuscitation, spent her first night in an incubator, and was treated for early infection. She also had an undiagnosed tongue tie, which made breastfeeding extremely complicated and exhausting for both of them.
At just 7 weeks old, she passed her first blood-streaked stool. By three months, bleeding became more frequent. From then on, her babyhood was shaped by hospital visits, questions without answers, and constant searching.
At nine months, she finally received a diagnosis — a non-IgE milk protein allergy. With careful dietary changes, she began to thrive again — eating, growing, laughing. But this stability was short-lived. After viral infections and antibiotic treatment, her condition worsened dramatically. What followed was a spiral of severe inflammation, painful bowel movements, and life-threatening complications.
She was diagnosed with a very early-onset form of inflammatory bowel disease (VEO-IBD) that severely affected her colon and perianal area. She underwent three colonoscopies, was treated with two biologics, and endured repeated high-dose corticosteroids that eventually caused serious side effects like joint pain and signs of premature puberty — all before the age of four.
She also had multiple emergency hospital stays due to dangerously low hemoglobin and inflammation, requiring blood transfusions, intravenous iron infusions, and urgent treatment for sepsis risk and a perianal abscess. Each crisis has left her more fragile and her future more uncertain.
She experienced chronic severe constipation that was medically treated with repeated enemas and daily laxatives — invasive procedures that brought no lasting relief and added more trauma. After months of her mother’s dedicated effort through gentle movement, probiotics, holistic therapies, and now elemental nutrition, her constipation is finally under control.
At one point, doctors suspected she had severe perianal disease — with multiple fistulizing tracts, painful swelling, and anal skin tags. But recent imaging shows no sign of those complications, which has raised new questions about her diagnosis. That’s why her mother is now trying to reach highly experienced pediatric specialists abroad — in Munich or the USA — for a full expert re-evaluation to understand her condition more clearly and guide future treatment.
Today, this little girl survives on a carefully built regimen of elemental shakes, probiotics, healing broths, and donor breastmilk — known for its powerful role in gut and immune health, it has become a vital part of her healing. None of these are covered by insurance.
Her mama is doing everything to help her heal — without nearby family or steady support to rely on. She lost both her own mother and grandmother during the early years of her daughter’s illness. Her father is still alive, but lives in another country and is struggling with a serious joint condition requiring surgery, making him unable to help. She receives basic alimony, but due to the complexity and cost of her daughter’s treatment — including medical nutrition, probiotics, therapies, and caregiving — it’s not nearly enough to meet her daily needs.
She has already used up all of her personal savings, borrowed money, and now relies on minimal government support — which does not cover the cost of her child’s medically necessary daily care. She cannot work, as her child requires round-the-clock care and nutrition management. Hiring a sitter occasionally is the only way she can keep going.
Right now, they are in a true financial emergency — unable to afford even the most essential parts of her daughter’s care. This campaign is their last hope — to continue life-saving nutritional support and finally receive a specialist re-evaluation that could change everything.
How Funds Will Be Used
This total goal reflects six months of care and a full medical re-evaluation abroad. It includes:
- Medical shakes: ~€960/month
- High-quality probiotics: ~€250/month
- Donor breastmilk (including travel): ~€300/month
- Pure water (Lauretana or filtered): ~€100–€150/month
- Healing broths and ecological food: ~€100/month
- Natural therapies and holistic support: ~€300–€500/month
- Occasional caregiving help (6–8 hrs/week): ~€240–€320/month
- Diapers, car maintenance, safe transport: ~€150–€300/month
- Specialist re-evaluation abroad (Munich or USA): ~€3,500–€6,000 (consults, diagnostics, travel)

These are not covered by insurance, yet they are essential to her healing and stability.
These choices — though not always prescribed — have helped her avoid surgery, manage severe symptoms, reduce inflammation, and slowly rebuild her gut and immune balance.

From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for reading, for caring, and for believing in her healing.
Your support, in any form, brings us strength and hope in ways words can’t fully express.
We are deeply grateful.
