I want to tell you about Emi, a 14-year-old boy from Romania who absolutely loves trains. His face lights up every time he hears one passing by.

But Emi was born with a rare genetic condition called Epidermolysis Bullosa, also known as “butterfly skin.”

His skin is as delicate as a butterfly’s wings - even the lightest touch can cause wounds and painful blisters.

Every single day, he has to endure bandage changes - a long and painful process.

The only thing that helps ease his suffering are the special Mepilex Transfer dressing with Safetac technology - it doesn’t stick to the wounds and allow the skin to heal gently, without pain.

Emi dreams of being able to walk again, to regain the freedom to take a few steps without pain. ‍♂️

Each dressing costs about $16-25, and they’re very difficult to find in Romania.

I couldn’t stay indifferent knowing that something so small can bring him so much comfort.

I’ve known Emi and his parents for almost ten years, and their family has always shown me the love of Christ through the way they live.

They are a beautiful example of faith, courage, and joy, walking through unimaginable trials with peace and gratitude.

Their strength and trust in God are a true reflection of His presence and love.

That’s why I want to help. I’m preparing a package of Mepilex transfer dressings to send to Emi - enough to provide him with about six months of gentler, less painful care.
