Help Save Scottie’s Life: Emergency Medical Support for a Little Boy in Need
My name is Ian, and I am writing with a heavy but hopeful heart for my dear friend Archel, his wife Melody, and their little boy Scottie.
Since early January, Scottie has been in the hospital in the Philippines with fluid in both of his lungs. Every breath is a struggle. The antibiotics have not worked, and doctors are now saying he needs a procedure to remove the fluid from his lungs so his body can heal. Without this procedure, his condition continues to decline.
In the Philippines, hospitals do not allow patients to leave until medical bills are paid in full. Scottie remains hospitalized not because his parents want him there, but because they have no choice. The cost of his care is equal to what Archel earns in nine months to a full year. That is an impossible burden for a father who is simply trying to save his son’s life.
Archel has begun selling their possessions one by one to help cover the cost of Scottie’s care. Even with these sacrifices, it barely makes a difference. No parent should ever have to choose between losing everything they own and losing their child.
This family has a deep faith in Jesus Christ. They believe in prayer, in hope, and in love. But faith does not mean facing hardship alone. I truly believe God places moments like this in front of us so we can be the answer to prayer, the help when there is no other help, and the light in a very dark moment.
If you are reading this, you are here for a reason. Scottie needs help now. Your donation is not just money. It is breath. It is time. It is hope. Every dollar given will go directly toward Scottie’s medical care and hospital expenses.
If you are able to give, please open your heart. If you are not able to donate, please share this story and pray for Scottie. Together, we can give this little boy the chance to heal and return home to the family who loves him more than anything.
Thank you for caring. Thank you for helping. Thank you for standing with Scottie.
❤️ God Bless
