I’ve been so overwhelmed by the love, messages, and support so many of you have shown after losing my brother, Maher.

So many of you have reached out asking how you can help… and we truly didn’t plan to ask for anything. But with so much kindness and support, we created this GoFundMe to help support his son, Ocean, and the future Maher dreamed of for him.

Even just sharing this means more than I can put into words.

A little boy just lost his father…

And all his father ever wanted was to bring him home.

Hi, my name is [Your Name], and I’m Maher’s sister.

Maher passed away suddenly while in Portugal, leaving behind his young son, Ocean — the center of his entire world.

Maher was one of the kindest, most genuine people you could ever meet. He loved deeply, gave freely, and had a way of making everyone feel seen and cared for.

But more than anything… he loved his son.

Ocean was his purpose and his greatest dream. Everything Maher did was for him.

His dream was to bring Ocean home — to raise him surrounded by family, love, and stability here in San Diego.

He was actively working toward that… traveling back and forth, doing everything he could to be in his son’s life.

Tragically, that dream was taken from him far too soon.

Now, Ocean is left without his father… and our family is left trying to carry forward the love Maher had for him.

Your support will go toward helping bring Ocean from Europe to be with his family here in San Diego, and supporting his future — the life his father dreamed of for him.

Our greatest hope is to surround Ocean with love and raise him alongside his cousins — just as Maher always wanted.

Maher was not just my brother — he was my best friend, and the most incredible uncle to my four boys.
