Our dear friends Nicco & Snoop need a little help! As we know, Nicco is our amazing, perfect, beautiful friend who does everything he can to show up, support, love, etc on his people. And his pup! We wanted to set up a space to show both him and Snoop that same love and support!

Some details from Nicco:

Snoop presented as having high liver results in bloodwork, over the course of 6 months- now if it were just one or two levels that can just mean he could take a liver medicine for supportive care, but his (liver) results were all high :( Since he had not been exposed to any toxins, this needed further research.

After a visit to Animal Medical Center ($450) in Manhattan last week, receiving an ultrasound ($900) and a ‘Bile Acids Test’ (a more comprehensive liver test, $300), he was found to have elevated levels in a “moderate” range, suggesting more advanced liver disease. So the next step is a liver biopsy in order to determine the level of treatment.

The biopsy is a Laparoscopy Biopsy ($6,500-$7,000) allowing complete evaluation of the liver along with copper testing. He would stay overnight in the hospital, barring any complications… 2 weeks of restrictive activity and the ever famous donut to allow his incision to heal.

Now, I know some folks will likely say, “He’s old, why do this?” Snoop is nowhere near the end! Anyone who knows or has met him, knows this. He is as loving and as present as ever. His other health issues are benign and this ultimately will help him treat something that inevitably would be a long and very drawn out demise.

It’s not time to give up.
