A Light Taken Too Soon - Help a Grieving Mother Lay Her Son to Rest

At just 16 years old, Simon Beyene was a soul that touched everyone around him. He loved God with all his heart, faithfully served in the church's Sunday school, collected food and clothes for those in need, and carried a light that made the world better simply because he was in it. His mother raised him singlehandedly through unimaginable struggles and sacrifices, pouring every ounce of her strength into this remarkable young man who became her greatest pride, her living testimony, and her deepest joy. And Simon gave every bit of that love right back. At just 14 years old, he took on the responsibility of managing the household, he was his mama’s baby boy who helped her clean the house, lovingly cared for his little brother, and even searched for jobs for his mother. He was everything to his mom: her helper, her protector, and the heartbeat of their home. Then, in one devastating moment, he passed away unexpectedly in a way that has deeply broken our hearts, far too soon, far too young, and far too sudden.

No mother should ever have to bury her child, and no mother should face that unbearable grief while worrying about how to give her son a proper farewell. Our beloved sister, Mekides, gave everything she had to raise her boy, and now she is carrying the heaviest cross any parent can bear. She did not just lose a son, she lost the one who held her world together, the one who made their house a home, and the hero his little brother looked up to every single day. We believe with all our hearts that Simon is resting safely in the loving arms of our God, a boy who spent his short life serving God, serving others, and carrying his family is now welcomed into eternal peace. But here on earth, his mother needs us to stand beside her, to carry her when she cannot walk, and to remind her that she is not alone.

አሳዛኝ ዜና ዕረፍት

"የሰው ዕድሜ የተወሰነ ነው፥ የወሩም ቍጥር በአንተ ዘንድ ነው፥ እርሱም ሊተላለፈው የማይችለውን ዳርቻ አደረግህለት።" ኢዮ 14፥5

እህታችን መቅደስ ካሳሁን እናትም አባትም ሆና ያሳደገችው የመጀምሪያ ልጇ ስምኦን በየነ 17ተኛ አመት ልደቱን ከወራቶች በኃላ ለማክበር እቅድ ላይ እያለች በድንገተኛ እና ባልተጠበቀ ሁኔታ ልጇን አጥታለች::

በስደት አገር በብዙ ችግርና መከራ በስቃይ ያሳደገችው የመጀመሪያ ልጇን ያጣችውን እህታችን መቅደስ ለቀብር ማስፈጸሚያ የሚሆን ገንዘብ ስለሚያስፍልጋት እህታችን መቅደስን የተቻለንን ያህል እንድናግዛት ስንል በልዑል እግዚአብሔር ስም እንጠይቃለን::

ገና በልጅነት ዕድሜው ስምኦን ወደሚወደው መድኃኔዓለም ወደ ዘላለማዊ ዕረፍት ተጠርቷል። የልጃችን የዘመንፈስ ቅዱስን ነፍስ እግዚአብሔር አምላክ ከማኅበረ ቅዱሳን ጋር ይደምርልን።
