A light for Nattaly, Cancer Fund

Donation protected
It's with a heavy heart that I announce Nattaly took her last breathe September 24th, 2017 5:41 PM.

"Heaven gained an angel yesterday. My sweet Nattaly, your family will miss you, your suffering is over and done! God has given you eternal life and we will see you again, we will run, we will sing, I will hear your laugh, your smile will soften my heart, your hug will calm my soul. Our love for you will soar and continue until we meet again. Rest in peace, my love." - Chanel Harrington

I am keeping this fundraiser going to help relieve Chris and family of hospital bills, funeral costs, etc.

A post from her father, Chris:

"pyrrhic victory- a battle while won, was won at great expense so great that it aligns more with a defeat then a victory, and that is what we have incurred today. At 5:41 today Nattaly took her final breath and left us to be in a better place, while most people who have been effected by cancer and have suffered the loss of a loved one see it as losing the battle, I see it as the exact opposite.

In the end Nattaly won her fight but at a great cost one that took her life, though it seems more like a defeat then a victory, we must remember that she no longer suffers and is no longer in pain, and we no longer have to endure the pain of watching her suffer. Our daughters spirit is finally free: free to run, free to swim, free to eat all the steak and salmon she wants, and free to watch Bruno mars whenever she wants. This is why her passing was a victor and not a defeat.

Our daughter lived her life to the fullest, and while she passed away young she lived so much in her short years, and brought so much meaning and joy to everyone's life she touched. Nattaly did not let the cancer beat her, she played, laughed, and loved life to the fullest. On her sick days she would be outside riding her bike with a bucket incase she puked, on days we spent in bed snuggling she would find a way to make us laugh, or come up with a prank to pull.

The end of her life was everything her spirit and personality emboldened, she was stubborn to the very end and did not go with out a fight, she left on her own terms, and there was o other way she was leaving.

I close with a quote, that has gotten me through these past three years, and that sums up life in the most simplest, purest, and truest essence.

"The good things don't always soften the bad things, but vice-versa, the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant.""

Rest in peace, sweet Nattaly.

Nattaly, now 7, was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma Cancer at just the age of 4. After battling this terrible disease for two long years, this unbelievably strong little girl finally made her way into remission- sadly only until just last month. June 2017, a tumor was discovered in Nattaly's stomach, leaving her terminal with all treatments exhausted. Nattaly's father Chris, as well as the rest of her family, are doing everything possible to keep her comfortable, as she braves this ideal that no child, nor parent, should ever have to experience. Hope is not lost, even in the darkest times, we can find and create light.

"There's a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in."  -Leonard Cohen

Im creating this Campaign on behalf of Nattaly and her family, to help in any way possible. The needs truly are unknown and unpredictable, especially with medical expenses that insurance won't cover (i.e. cannabis treatments, etc.) I want people to be able to give based on what they're led to give, not compelled to meet any sort of goal. The reality is that their needs are many and any amount is truly helpful. Together we can help support Nattaly's difficult journey by making any donation possible to alleviate this burden.

Any amount is appreciated, no matter how little, but if you cannot make a financial donation please keep Nattaly in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you.
