My name is Lisa, and I’m reaching out with a mother’s deepest plea: please help save my daughter’s life.
My beautiful daughter, Isis, is in the fight of her life. She has been diagnosed with end-stage liver disease, and her only hope for survival is a life-saving liver transplant.
Watching your child suffer and not being able to take their pain away is something no parent should ever have to endure. I’ve watched her health decline rapidly, her energy gone, her body swollen with fluid, her skin and eyes yellow from jaundice. Once full of light and laughter, she now lives in constant fatigue, nausea, confusion, and pain. Her liver, an organ most people never think twice about, can no longer do its job of keeping her alive.
She is an incredible mother to her children, Dakota, Indiana and Nevada. They are her entire world, and she is theirs. Every day, even in pain, she shows up for them with as much love and strength as she can muster. Her bond with them is something beautiful, something fierce and it’s what drives her to keep going.
She is also engaged to a wonderful man, Nick, who has been by her side every step of the way. Nick is more than just a partner, he is her rock. He’s been holding her hand through the hospital visits, sleepless nights, and heartbreaking conversations with doctors. He works tirelessly to support the family, both financially and emotionally, all while trying to hold everything together for the kids. Their love is strong, and they’re still dreaming of a future together, a wedding, a healthy life, and watching their children grow up side by side.
But liver disease has taken so much already. Isis can no longer work. The medical costs are staggering. Her PFML (Paid Family Medical Leave) has run out. Every day is a battle against the clock, against the debt, and against the illness that threatens to take her from us.
We are humbly asking for help to raise $15,000 to cover:
The transplant surgery and hospital expenses
Post-transplant medications to prevent organ rejection
Travel costs to and from the transplant center in Boston
Lost income and support for Isis, Nick, and the kids during recovery
There is nothing more painful than watching someone you love fade in front of you and nothing more powerful than the kindness of others. If you can give, no matter the amount, please know it brings us closer to saving her life. And if you can’t donate, please share her story. Your prayers, your support, your love, it all makes a difference.
We are holding on to hope. Hope for healing. Hope for more birthdays, more hugs, more moments, and more holidays together and of course hope for a second chance at life.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
With love and gratitude,
Lisa, Nick, and our family
