On the morning of Saturday, July 4, Deidrick Ra’Sheed Carter transitioned from earthly life to his heavenly home. As a testament to the awesome father that he was, he spent the last few moments of his life taking care of his sons.
As a child, Deidrick enjoyed playing soccer and flag football. He continued playing football throughout his time at Northeast Guilford High School. He was a huge fan of the New England Patriots; Tom Brady and Kobe Bryant were his favorite athletes. Deidrick was passionate about all genres of music and had begun learning to play guitar. His talents allowed him to write lyrics and produce beats for friends. Full of excitement, he would share everything new he accomplished with his mother whom he adored. He loved video games and treasured the time it afforded him to connect with friends and family.
In his early life, Deidrick established a close connection with God. As a young father he continued to seek the Lord, carefully considering his mother’s guidance "you need the Lord to help you with your children" (Proverbs 22:6). Deidrick left a lasting impression in the hearts and minds of many. He is often celebrated for encouraging friends to live out their dreams while remaining on the right path. He is remembered for his tender heart, unwavering loyalty and smile that could light up a room. His presence will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Your support will allow Deidrick to be memorialized in a way most befitting of the life he led. Any additional funds will benefit his children, Kaiden Cox, Jaceion Breeden, Cameron Breeden, Jeremiah Gause and Dennis Carter. Our family thanks you for your support.
