In Loving Memory of Bobby Bass Jr.
With broken hearts and unimaginable grief, I share the devastating loss of my beloved son, Bobby Bass Jr. Bobby was not only my son but also a devoted father, cherished grandson, loving brother, nephew, and a dear friend to so many. Early Sunday morning, November 17th, Bobby’s life was tragically cut short while walking down the road after his vehicle broke down. Initial reports claimed he wore dark clothing, but my son was dressed in a tan sweatsuit, the same outfit he had proudly worn hours earlier at the baby shower celebrating his unborn son.
This unimaginable tragedy has left our family shattered beyond words. Bobby had turned 26 earlier this year, and in the midst of our grief, we learned that he was no longer covered under my employer-sponsored life insurance. If I had known, I would have done everything to ensure he was protected. Now, we face not only the unbearable sorrow of losing him but also the unexpected financial burden of laying him to rest.
Bobby’s greatest joy in life was being a father. He adored his children and was their hero, protector, and guiding light. He leaves behind two young sons and an unborn baby boy, whose arrival we had just celebrated before this tragedy. Bobby’s love, kindness, and selflessness touched everyone who knew him. His absence is a void that will never be filled.
No parent should ever have to bury their child. The pain of losing my firstborn is indescribable, and the financial strain of providing him with a proper farewell only deepens the heartache.
