Hi Everyone - this is Charlie and Martin Meader.

It’s hard to believe that it has been two years since Dawn’s passing. Charlie and I continue to feel her presence in our lives, she appears in our dreams and subtly guides us every day.

We’re putting together a special exhibition to honour the incredible life and work of Dawn Meader, artist, teacher, and much-loved soul of Fremantle.

The exhibition will run from January 10th to January 26th, 2026 at the Moores Building Art Space on Henry Street in Fremantle. The opening of the exhibition will be from 6.00pm on January 10th.

Over the past few months we’ve been uncovering and gathering Dawn’s artworks from treasured pieces found in her studio and garage, to paintings and mosaics kindly loaned by friends and collectors. Many haven’t been seen in years, and some have never been shown at all.

We want this to be a beautiful, heartfelt tribute something that feels alive, warm, and full of the energy Dawn brought to everything she created.

While the exhibition will include artwork and prints for sale, it’s completely self-funded by family and friends who loved her and want to keep her legacy alive. We don’t have gallery or council backing, every part of this is powered by community.

Your contribution will go directly toward:

Venue hire and insurance

Framing, restoration, and transport of artworks

Decor, construction of display pieces, and some signage

Printing, promotional materials, and setup supplies

Every donation helps us create the space, atmosphere, and presentation that Dawn’s art truly deserves.

As a small thank-you, for donations over $20, we’ll send you a thank-you package with some of Dawn’s greeting cards and bookmarks, a little piece of her light to keep or share. We’ll also include the names of our supporters in the printed exhibition program as a way to honour everyone who helped make this celebration possible.
