Huge gratitude to all who have donated thus far...
David and I are an unmarried gay couple together for 
sixteen years.  David had a hemorrhagic stroke last
December and has been in facility care ever since.

I thought by now I could take him home but his medical
needs remain too daunting for home care...tracheostomy,
feeding tube, catheter, inability to stand or walk.

There has been progress, slow, but still progress. I am
using donation income to help with Elder Law/ MediCal
Attorney fees,  and to also help with modifications for
when the time comes that he returns home, a wider doorway
for wheelchair access, a laminate floor replacing carpeting.  
For now he remain in facility care, a 50 minute drive each
way to see him every other day.

Currently there is a post-insurance gap where the facility
care is paid out-of-pocket, in excess of $700 per day. 
Awaiting Medi-Cal to activate, and slow this financial
free-fall.
