Hello! My name is Angela and 2 years ago I underwent a very high risk bone marrow transplant. I am so lucky to be alive and am grateful everyday for it!

Following the transplant, I experienced many detrimental blows to my personal life which has not made recovery easy or even possible at times. In December I got pneumonia and after months of being in and out of the different hospitals and undergoing copious amounts of testing, it’s apparent that part of my immune system is failing. My doctor is hopeful that there is a course of action that will not require me to have to undergo another transplant, but it's still going to be a lot regardless. I will need treatment and likely hospitalization while dealing with my immune system challenges. Above all, I will need a ton of hope for this treatment to be successful.

Meanwhile, I still have to pay bills and meet basic needs (food, shelter, etc.) in addition to the astronomical cost of this entire process.

As friends, family, and those with empathetic energy, you are the foundation of strength that has supported me through these scary and uncertain times. It’s because of you, I am optimistic. I don’t want to be taken down because of finances before I get a chance to recover and live the life I have been working so hard for. Please help take some of the weight off as I undergo this treatment and continue to work towards recovery.
