We are reaching out to you on behalf of our dear friend Fadi, a Palestinian student in Germany whose life was upended by an unimaginable tragedy.

Fadi’s brother, Wasif, was brutally shot in a violent assault in Jenin. The injury caused severe damage to his retina and optic nerve, leaving him permanently blind in his right eye. On top of this devastating loss, their main source of income—his truck—was destroyed. Wasif, a dedicated boxing coach, had to stop coaching, plunging the family into deep financial distress.

Fadi’s Sacrifice

In response to this crisis, Fadi made the heartbreaking decision to stop his studies at Leipzig University and take on full-time work in the market to support his mother and brother and share what he can financially. But the weight of previous financial hardships and unexpected life changes has left him with virtually nothing. He is now at risk of losing his legal residency in Germany—a devastating outcome that would make it impossible for him to continue supporting his family.
