Hello My Name is Mike Stevenson and I am helping a Wonderful and Talented Comic Book Artist who has faced very hard times in his senior years. This Artist has been facing major medical issues that have depleted his financial savings. Winston Blakely has been on the Comic Book and Fine Arts Scene for for over 50 years. He has given so much to the passionate world of Comic Books and the Illustrative Art World. Mr. Blakely has been one of the foremost Avant Garde artist for over five decades. His Acheivements have included working for Valiant Comics and Rich Buckler's Visage Studio as well as Creator and Founder of Dark Edge Comics. He is facing multiple medical surgeries and is in need of money to get back on his feet again, so he can continue to thrill and amaze the Comic Book World. He has has always found the time to connect with his fans at Comic Cons and has always made time to help fellow artists get their careers going. Mr. Blakely has a heart of gold and anyone who has met him knows how much joy and passion he has brought to the Comic Book World. I am calling on all of the Amazing, Passionate Comic Book Fans and Artists from around the world to help this Gifted and Talented Comic Book Legend get back on his feet. I know this community well and there is not another community as passionate and caring as the Fans and Artists of the Comic Book World. Mr. Blakely has not asked me to do this, but he is in desperate times and I as a Comic Book Fan happened to find out about his tragic condition and told myself I have to help this Amazing Man who has given so much to this Art that we all love, and are so passionate about !
