A legacy of love - Honoring the life of Vincent

Who is Vincent Derrick Foreman?

On September 12, 2021 Vincent Derrick Foreman lost his life to the impact of Covid-19 at the age of 53, he lived in Jamaica WI. Vincent, a God-fearing man tasked with meaningful assignments on his life's journey, he was a son, brother, father, cousin, and friend. Vincent understood the importance of family and having a good support system. He wanted to be the provider and leader for his children. Leading by example, he was a certified electrician and also started his own business from humble beginnings called Foreman Productions. He was kind-hearted, loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. Vincent was also the sole provider for his immediate family, he provided care for both his mother and sister who due to health issues they were unable to work, so he stepped in to provide the assistance they needed. Vincent has 5 beautiful children that love him dearly, now  left to continue life's journey with just the memories of their father and to learn what it means to build a legacy of love.

 

What is a legacy of love?

What is a legacy of love? It is allowing your life to be a testimony and witness to God's amazing love moving throughout your life's journey. It is not about living a perfect life, but it's about allowing His perfecting love & saving grace to come in and make new, create change, and much more as you draw nearer to Him. A legacy of love is leaving a trail of evidence of what Gods handy-work looks like when we surrender and allow Him to work in us and through us. It's about taking all the amazing qualities, skills, characteristics, and gifts we have been packaged with and utilizing them to not only enhance our lives but the lives of others we are called to impact. It's evident as we live through situations, experiences, and relationships just how powerful God is. A legacy of love, one that is not forgotten even long after the persons journey on earth has ended.

 

A reminder

In Vincent's time on earth he was able to achieve these things and leave a memorable impact one not to be forgotten. One that can be remembered to provide a 'call to action' in some area of our lives, whether it's to smile more, laugh more, pray more, love more, share more, give more, live more, his legacy leaves that reminder. There is love beyond the grave, and love beyond this lifetime, this is how our loved ones never die in our hearts as long as we continue to remember their legacy of love.

 

Take nothing for granted

We are all encouraged to look at our friends and loved ones each day and appreciate their existence in that very moment do it every opportunity you get, not taking a second for granted. Show your appreciation because once their journey has ended on earth all we have left is their legacy. Ironically, one of Vincent's last adventures before he passed away , he was taken on a fun family vacation by one of his best friends. He has never been to Disney World and his best friend wanted to include him in that moment just to show his appreciation for the friendship they shared since childhood. Who would've thought that shortly a few weeks later he would not be here? Although WE didn't know God knew, so God created the opportunity to put it on his best friends heart to make sure Vincent felt loved and appreciated before he exited this earth. A legacy of love to be continued.
