Help Curt walk again

Please help Curtis Peeler to get a leg up in life!
He is an amazing husband, father, plumber and friend  that now has to completely recalibrate his entire life.

My dad is one of the toughest people I have ever known. I am sure every  girl feels that way about their dad, but with the amount of hurtles and obstacles thrown at him he has never waivered or backed down.  His faith and perseverance is truly inspiring!

As many of you know my dad has had his fair share of issues regaurding his feet. On his left foot he has had it reconstructed twice using rods, screws, and plates (due to him breaking it in 7 places). His right foot he has had his big toe amputated due to him stepping on a nail. Because of his diabetes it has made healing from these injuries quite tough, but he has made it through all with flying colors.

Now, he is back to the hospital.  After the last surgery on his left foot (when they placed the titanium plate in) he was left with a sore on the bottom of his foot that they have monitored and had healed.  That sore has recently re- opened and caused an infection. Earlier this month he was brought to the hospital with a high fever and couldn't put any weight on his foot.  They were able to get the infection undercontrol and get his heart rate back to where it belongs. The infection unfortunately had reached the bone and they were not able to save his foot this time. They amputated his left leg to just under his knee.

Thankfully the surgery went well, but now begins the long haul...  he will no longer be able to be a plumber and will have to undergo intensive therapy.  They are trying to find out if he can go to a rehab facility or if he will go home first. (They will have to outfit the house to make it accessible for him.) He will have many, many months on physical therapy ahead. He will also have to get fitted for and have a prosthetic leg, sleeve, and socket custom made.
Curt started a new plumbing job this summer and was just a few weeks away from getting insurance when he became unable to work. Without any kind of insurance, the hospital stay and surgery is quoted to be at least 20,000. He has already been in the hospital for 2 weeks and counting.  A prosthetic leg could be anywhere from 5,000 to 50,000 and typically have to be replaced every 5 years (from what I have researched). This doesn't include rehab and all their day to day bills.

My parents aren't ones to ask for help, but rather the ones that come flying in to help in a time of need. If you could please help us to raise some funds to help ease them into this transition in their new lives. In hopes to be able to get him everything he will need.
