Hello, I'm Vloqz Imminent's clan founder, I'm here speaking today to let everyone know that our friend, and clan member Sequ passed away the night of September 25th due to a tumor that he had been fighting for the past year and a half. What I want to share now is how we met him and our journey when we still were together.

I met Sequ for the first time around 2 years ago, we crossed our paths just by playing the game with random people, and it happened he was looking for something more "clan-wise" so he decided to start hanging with us, not that much time after that I invited him and I still remember how grateful he was.
The passion and the love we shared playing Destiny 2 created a bond that I never expected.
In this 2 years journey, we met a lot of players and even though not everyone stayed they all could agree that he was one of the best among us mechanically and mentally. Everyone in Imminent became much better players just by the goals that he was setting us to hit.

Me sequ and crysis were the first ones to ever speedrun gms. We started with the corrupted, at the time a very controversial strike, we nailed it with a stunning time, that made us feel so confident that we started speedrunning every single nightfall coming within the next weeks.
People started noticing and this is what led us to the lake of shadows "competition" with clan Ascend. Unlike nowadays, during this time we were among the only ones doing those activities with the intent of uploading "speedrun" content. Even though we had such a good lake time we unfortunately lost to a team compiled of 3 of the best players we ever crossed paths with, but we didn’t care, we were so happy with how we played and that we weren’t the only ones running gms.

We felt a huge thirst to do better and we couldn't wait to finally do a world's first race together. Finally, that time came with Deep stone crypt, we obtained a great result and every one of us were more than satisfied with it. Right after DSC was completed a lot of people started doing duos and stuff and our next big mountain to climb was the duo flawless DSC. We started very late the competition but we were crushing it, so many times we wiped at the last stand in very dumb ways to the point where we almost gave up. The exact night before the first ever completion we wiped at the final stand. Not many days later we ended it after 2 other teams, it was not first but is what I consider the best time passed with him. I remember we even argued about something that happened in the challenge that got heated quite a lot, I wasn't angry with him at all, that showed me even more how competitive he wanted me to be and I did my best.

A month and a half later that time Sequ started having some severe pain to his lower spine and his knee, he had a very healthy life-style ever since he lost I think around 40Kgs and got in shape, he used to go to the gym everyday so the first thing he conneceted to that pain was that he might have done some exercises with a bad form, unfortunately that wasn't the case, the pain kept being there and it was what he described as the worst pain he ever went through his entire life, not that much time later he got checked by a doctor that sadly told him he had a tumor, what I do remember the best about that period is that all those things happened close to the time he turned 18.

The first times were weird, we all knew how bad he had to be feeling, but he never showed it, he was going through a lot of chemio cycles that stole him from us, to the point where he decided to buy a laptop just to play with us even from hospital.

Fast forwarding to VoG we were the same team, we had pretty good feelings about this run but we ended with a mediocre position relative to the first one and we were kinda sad about it. During that time he did plenty of challenges, solo atheon was sure one of his biggest achievements and he was so happy about it, that was his happy place. We all tried our best to be close to him and make him feel like nothing was wrong, many times he told me that that made him feel a lot better than how we could ever imagine. During my absence from Destiny 2 I got subbed for gm speedruns as Sequ and Crysis were still interested and Awlay from Silimar joined their team. Sequ hasn't ever been a good english speaker, but he always tried his best to improve at it and communicate in any possible/very funny way, while teaching italian words to Awlay too. I didn't dig that much into what they were doing but I knew they were killing it, it was impossible to not hear anything about glassway speed runs which still at the time was extremely hard and none really expected to see that time in the corner of the screen.

Considering the huge time distance from VoG to VotD, Sequ started playing different games while still running gms and going through treatments.

At a certain point, the doctors told him he was cancer free and that was just incredible, he fought so hard and after all of it he finally pulled through.

In that time we all kinda stopped playing d2 but that surely didn't split us as a group, we enstablished the movie ticket and played an unnomerous amount of games together just to make time fly until Witch Queen, all the clan was very excited about the upcoming raid and everything seemed to be perfect.

Not that much time later the joy was taken from us by the tumor that came back, but that didn't stop him, he kept fighting as hard as he could while we kept trying our best to make him feel at least comforted while he was in vc with us and playing games such as Apex.

Finally Witch Queen came and the whole clan was online playing and it felt really good, we all went once again through a burst of passion towards the game and the will to achieve at least top 10 in the next raid. At the start of the race everyone was full of energy we could all tell by just how hard we were tryharding calls at the entrance, until we reach the pyramid and got sent instantly back to orbit. That was the start of the decline of that race. We got stuck on the first encounter for 4 hours. We were at the boss at a decent time, a few teams were there before us but all of our morale and energy were drained by the tilt of the crashes we experienced. The 2 encounters before this we literally speedran, we ended up in a position we didn't ever expect and didn't like, Sequ felt terrible, both mentally and physically considering the pressure he was putting on his body by playing that much time on a chair in his condition. Still, that didn't stop him from trying his best in vow’s. He solod the first encounter and caretaker once again proving how good he was at the game. I think that this was the time he started feeling really bad and gaming was becoming hard for him, however we still kept playing together and watching movies trying to have our best times together.

On Saturday 23rd of July, I took my car with my girlfriend and drove to Fogliano, Sequ's town, I saw him in person for the first time, with his short hair and a smile from literaly ear to ear. We had a short day together we just had time to visit the mall and have dinner together. While we were there he felt so bad he had to lay down for a moment due to the pain he was feeling. It was hard to see him in this shape, I ran to my car as fast as I could to pick him up and bring him back home. I think he felt embarrassed about this situation and he was so sorry, he told me he wasn't that used to walking anymore, but he still decided that that night we were going to have a pizza together with his friends. The pizza was stunningly good I really loved it and we all had a great time together, his friends were really chill and were such good company.
Ever since that time we all started hearing from him less and less, we knew he had a vacation to Amsterdam with his friends and august was just a month where everyone was busy.

Not that much time before King's Fall he wasn't feeling good at all and his liver had a severe infection due to all the medicines he had to take in order to feel better.

The raid was about to come and we all speculated it was going to be on September 3rd, I remember that because he was said if the raid was that day he couldn't buy the tickets for the Inter-Milan Vs Milan football derby. For the past year he was very interested in football and his favorite team Inter-Milan. Luckily the raid wasn't on this day, but with it being anticipated a friend of ours was still on vacation which forced us to look for a person at the last moment along with a new member and not a lot of practice. Sequ was really ill due to the liver infection he was going through, he sadly told me that he couldn't play unless he got a quick operation which he luckily got, but still he wasn't at his best and unfortunately neither were all of us. We did bad, we obtained a result that doesn't reflect in any way the ones we were before, a result that ignited something in some of us and we were ready to focus once again to do good. He told us the King's fall emblem was really good but he decided to wear it not because of the way it looked but because it reminded him of our failure and what not to do for the next race, it was his own punishment to push himself and us to do better.

The master raid came and he wasn't willing to do it because he had to focus on feeling better first, we didn’t do very good too for reasons that don't matter, but he was there in silence on his bed watching us play until the very end of the raid. I didn't even know he was there and I feel bad we played poorly once again. That was the last time he joined Imminent's server, that was the last time we "saw" him, and that was the last time he watched us play.

Monday 26th of September, I received a discord message from an IRL Sequ's friend, he told me he had something to talk about with me, I knew inside of me what happened. I went outside with my dog and called him, he told me that Sequ passed away the night before while sleeping under the effect of morphine. I was devastated and started crying, the first thing I did that night was asking everyone to join vc asap because I had something very important to say. Everyone was shocked and none of us could imagine how he could've lost that fight, the first thing I thought was "if he didn't make it after all he went through, life is just a joke" it felt so unfair, so unjust and so sad.

He was a special guy, the time we spent together will be unforgettable and always in our minds, we will never forget the nights and the afternoons spent together, the joy and the sadness experienced together, losing a friend is painful, more than anything that ever happened to me, he was what I consider one of the best friends I ever had and we met through a PC.

We all want to remember him with that video with a smile on our faces and with joy in all our moments together, however it still is a wide-open wound.

His family announced his death and said that if anyone was interested in any kind of donation to share it to "Assistenza domiciliare ASL di Reggio Emilia" which is a health institution that helped Sequ at home during the last period of time, I searched how to donate to them and they share an IBAN for it, we decided to avoid a lot of taxes, if anyone wanted to donate we are making a gofundme, which is directly to Sequ's family which I've been in contact with and they will donate anything that we will raise from that video.

I hope that what I shared today reaches as many people as possible to show what a person Sequ was to me and to all of us that knew him best.

Regards.

Ciao Sequ.
