A Last Christmas: Securing Logan’s Future and Supporting Danielle

For decades, Danielle has been the light for others—volunteers, rescued animals, and her family. Now, we are coming together to light the way for her and her 13-year-old son, Logan, during their darkest days.
Danielle, a devoted mother and a lifelong community servant, is facing an unthinkable journey. Diagnosed with multiple severe and rapidly progressing health conditions, her fight is nearing its end. Doctors have confirmed her aggressive brain tumor (7.5 cm x 7.2 cm x 5.7 cm) is inoperable, and her time is limited.
This holiday season carries an impossible weight: this will be Danielle's last Christmas with her son, Logan.

An Unimaginable Emotional Burden
Danielle is not only battling her own terminal diagnosis but is also carrying the immense worry of securing Logan’s future.
• Logan's Special Needs: Logan, 13, has Sensory Processing Disorder and struggles intensely to process and understand change. Losing his mother—his entire world—is a devastating change for which he needs dedicated, professional, and long-term support.
• The Second Loss for Ryan: Danielle's partner, Ryan, is enduring the agonizing pain of preparing to lose his second long-term partner in nine years, a heartbreaking ordeal that highlights the fragility of life.
• A Lifetime of Giving: Since the age of five, Danielle has volunteered, giving back to her community and working tirelessly to save vulnerable animals. She has never been on an "easy street," but she has always been the one giving help, not asking for it.

The Urgent Financial Need
Living from a hospital bed for months and having exhausted all treatment options has created crushing, unexpected expenses. Danielle's biggest wish is to be home for her last family Christmas, but doing so requires significant resources.
This fund is critically needed to cover:
• Homecoming & Care: Paying for the expensive home modifications (e.g., ramps and winter adjustments) needed to bring Danielle home safely for a family Christmas, followed by 24/7 homecare needs and essential medical equipment.
• Logan’s Stability: Providing immediate and long-term funds for Logan's schooling and specialized emotional support to help him navigate the loss of his mother.
• Securing the Future: Covering urgent and costly legal fees for guardianship, will preparation, and securing Logan’s financial stability.
• Medical Overheads: Addressing long-term hospitalization costs, ongoing medical complications, and high expenses like hospital parking in Calgary.
• Final Arrangements: Easing Danielle's heavy stress by covering funeral and final arrangements, a task that is weighing heavily on her as the tumor impacts her decision-making ability.

Our Plea: Give Danielle Peace
Right now, Danielle is under immense pressure—recent complications (pneumonia, chest flu) have added to her suffering, and the stress has been so severe she has stress-grinded three of her teeth.
Our goal is simple: to relieve the financial pressure so Danielle can focus her remaining time and love entirely on Logan, knowing his future is secure.
Every dollar will go directly to support Logan and ease the impossible weight on this family. Please donate if you are able, or share this page widely. Let's show Danielle and Logan that the community she spent a lifetime serving is here for them now.

Thank you for bringing light and compassion to their darkest days.
