My name is Blanca Rey... I live with my rescue cats and dogs in a house that my mom and I bought in 2004. My mom passed away in 2011 so I'm on my own now. Last year I received a citation from Miami Dade County that my property had a few violatons that needed to be fixed in order for me to be able to stay at the property... I am in no financial position to solve this problem so I started to look for a place to move but couldn't find anybody that would rent me a room, apartment or even a barn for me and my 4 dogs and 7 cats. Next step was to look for rescues or sanctuaries that could help me with at least some of my pets but had no luck with that option either. My last chance is to pay the penalties and legalize all the violations my property has so I can keep my animals... I have 90 days to solve this or we will be homeless. My animals are my reason for living... after losing my mom that's all I have left.
My dogs are old and special needs, all of them have been rescued from the streets or have been left at my house be heartless people that know I would care for them no matter what.
- Mamita: 14 years old (deaf)
- Puppy: 12 years old (Mamita's daughther)
- Grillo: 11 years old (blind)
- Waso: 12 years old (heart condition)
- 7 cats (Pippy, Bichi, Princesita, Amarillo, Sambo, You, Misu)
I am extremely embarrased to ask for help but I don't know what else to do or who else to contact, I've been turned away by every single person or rescue I have asked for help with my animals beacuse everybody is full. This is our last chance! The funds will be used to pay a contactor for plans and legalization... I am still waiting for a written proposal, once I got it I will post it. Thanks from the bottom of my heart!
