Help Us Honor the Life and Legacy of Philip Melariri Anyiam
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Philip Melariri Anyiam Sr. on April 25, 2025. Born in 1946, he lived a full and vibrant life, leaving behind an incredible legacy of love, faith, and resilience that continues to inspire everyone who knew him. His presence was a beacon of strength and compassion in every room he entered.
Philip’s greatest pride was his family. He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Comfort Anyiam, whose unwavering love carried them through life’s highs and lows. He leaves behind four children, Phyllis Anyiam Philip Anyiam Jr., Max Anyiam, and Hubert Anyiam, each of whom continues to carry his values of family, faith, and community. His legacy lives on through his cherished grandchildren: Max Jr Anyiam, Miles Anyiam, Philip Anyiam III, and Aiyana Anyiam.
My father was a man of deep faith, a hardworking entrepreneur, and a proud Nigerian who embraced American culture while staying rooted in his heritage. From founding businesses like Total Utilities Inc. and the International Culture and Fashion Center (ICFC) to raising a family grounded in love, tradition, and joy, his impact was immense.
Even in the face of illness, he remained strong and determined. His final victory was living long enough to meet his grandchildren and witness the continuation of the family legacy he worked so hard to build.
Now, as we lay him to rest, we are asking for your support to help cover funeral expenses and celebrate his life in a way that reflects the extraordinary man he was.
Any contribution, no matter the amount, is deeply appreciated by our family. If you’re unable to give, please consider sharing this page or keeping us in your prayers.
Thank you for being part of our extended community. Your love, support, and generosity mean more than words can express.
With heartfelt gratitude,
The Anyiam Family
