A Kind Soul Needs Help Instead of Giving It!

Hi, my name is Erik, and I'm fundraising to help my friend Hae Jung who needs surgery. I met Hae Jung in 1997 when I moved to Seoul, Korea. At that time, Korea was less cosmopolitan than today, and it was difficult for those who didn't speak Korean to navigate daily life. Through a friend, I met Hae Jung, a young, happy, kind and generous woman who would bend over backwards to make sure life for her foreign, mainly English teacher friends, was more manageable. Hae Jung would help us set up pagers, cell phones, communicate with landlords, translate documents, and she introduced us to Korean food and culture. She never refused a request and never asked for anything in return. Hae Jung now lives in the US and is in the midst of a medical emergency. Her surgery will be expensive and her insurance won't cover the costs. I hope that karma is real because, if so, we will be able to make or break our goal no problem!
