Hi! My name is Alena. I'm not used to be asking for help. But now I have to and this is my first step towards saving my own life.

I was diagnosed with a rare kidney disease 7 years ago. Not only it is rare but also more common in men than women. It is not studied enough and has no real cure.

It progressed fast and led to a chronic kidney disease. The only options I am left with are dialysis and a kidney transplant.

Life on dialysis isn't really a life, it is a survival. And it scares me a lot. It doesn't give the quality of life that I want (working, travelling, enjoying the things that I love).

I am looking for a living kidney donor. Blood type 0+. A waitlist for a diseased donor is about 5-7 years and there's 150000 people waiting. A kidney from a living donor also lives longer, for about 15 -20 years. A regular person needs only 1 kidney to live a healthy life (1 in 700 people is born with 1 kidney).

I need 1 kidney to live. Time is not on my side right now.
