My name is Michael Shapiro.   My prayer is to raise enough money for my dear friend Ranel's son, Reinell who needs a kidney transplant.   I performed with Ranel as a cruise director and performer on the ms Paul Gauguin.   He is very distaught for the future of his son's life. As Godfather to Ranel youngest son, I feel an obilgation to be of service.  Reinell is currently on dialysis several times a week in Manila but this can not continue forever.   I have been giving them money to help out but the bigger expense of a new Kidney is beyond my ability to cover the cost.  I am so grateful for this site to help people in need.   I have never tried to raise a sum of money before, but I know if I can achieve this, I will be saving a life and save the unending grief of a family.   With these funds, I can bring peace and healing to a wonderful young man.   In this time of gratitude and giving,  nothing means more then giving with one's heart and soul for a great good.
