Recently I discovered that my kidneys were in kidney failure. There are many things that should have been done before I received this news however my Nephrologist did not do a good job in my case. That being said, we decided to search out better information at the Mayo Clinic and are now on the path of finding recovery for me.

I now have a doctor at Mayo that can advise my treatment though I still need to find a qualified Nephrologist locally so that I can start the dialysis process.

I will also be going back to Mayo periodically but first for the kidney evaluation in October to receive a new kidney. After that, I am told that I will have other appointments there.

Mayo is typically a weeklong visit depending on what tests need to be run and so we stay in a hotel where we can get a shuttle to Mayo as well as food nearby. We live in Volo Il which is about a 5 hour drive for us so this money is going to be used to defray the costs of travel and housing for us as well as our two fur babies for the weeks that I go.

My  first evaluation is October 4 it will take 3 to 5 day

If I qualify for a living donor transplant I will need find a living donor. Pray that my insurance pays.

Pray that I am able to get stronger soon so that I can tolerate surgery.

Pray for God's hand to be in all that is done.
