Algirdas' Journey of Renewal
Donation protected
Hello friends,
I am Algirdas Lisaius. Many of you know me as a healer or shaman. You can regularly find me at local retreats and journeys in the community, providing voluntary support and healing. I’ve been practicing healing for more than 40 years, and I have a wide diverse set of healing skills. While I am honored to be considered a shaman, I am more a curandero - which means medicine man in the Amazonian jungle where I go to learn the healing arts. The knowledge, wisdom and experience I’ve gained in the jungles of Peru has enabled some of the most powerful, and yes, miraculous healings I’ve ever witnessed. I’ve studied many different healing traditions over the years, but none are as strong or as magical as Amazonian jungle medicine.
It’s there in the jungle that I’ve forged deep alliances and relationships with healing plants and trees. It’s as if they, the plants, put medicine in my very bones, so I can return to share in my abundance to heal my community - my friends and my neighbors.
To maintain and grow these relationships, I am obliged to return to the jungle when I can, to renew and replenish the medicine that was entrusted to me and to pay homage and respect to the plants and trees that heal us. Much like in human relationships, time mindfully spent with the plants deepens and anchors our connections.
I go to my sanctuary, the Amazon. I sit in my hut, in the thunderous sheets of rain, in the stifling heat and humidity; my body dotted with mosquito and chigger bites. In my hut, shared with roaches, tarantulas and bats, I meditate and swelter, fast and sing, pray and sweat, dance and surrender - all offerings so that I might be granted the honor serving these plants and trees, and be worthy of carrying their medicine in service to you - my community.
This process is all facilitated by an indigenous Amazonian tribe named the Shipibo, who know these plants and trees as wise and conscious beings, and as Gods and Goddesses. My teacher and guide there is Maestro don Enrique Lopez, a gifted Shipibo shaman who comes from a long lineage of Maestros - Master Shamans.
Upon returning home from this journey of reconnection and replenishment, healing work is provided to whoever needs it. Over 50% of my healing sessions are provided at no or reduced cost. I’ve never turned away anyone in need of healing, and I promise that I never will.
By supporting my journey of renewal, you will be joining me in providing the community
with the healing these plants and trees so generously give to us all.
I am looking to raise $15,000. to cover the expenses of the trip as well as my living expenses here while I am gone. If you can help by donating flight miles, please message Patrick Llewellyn directly to make those arrangements. He can be messaged here on GoFundMe under: fundraisers.
The medicine I carry isn’t mine. It's ours.
Yours in service,
Algirdas
