Save The Rest of My Family From The War in Gaza
Don protégé
Dear Supporters,
On December 22nd, 2023, Canada unveiled an Emergency Visa Program designed to help and assist the evacuation of families in Gaza.
As a Permanent Resident on the road to Canadian citizenship and I have not seen my family in 13 years, I am carrying the great responsibility of reuniting my extended family to Canada. I am grateful that I have an opportunity to help my family but I am left with an overwhelming financial burden, and today, I humbly extend my heartfelt plea for your invaluable support.
While the Canadian Government offers a lifeline through this program, it unfortunately does not extend financial assistance, leaving individuals like myself question how I can even possibly bring 15 members of my family to Canada alone? With the unwavering confidence in your generosity, I believe that, together, we can lighten this burden and pave the way for a future with hope for my family.
The reason behind helping my family is heartbreaking.
In the second week of the war (October, 21st, 2023) , my brother Emad (38 years old) was killed by bombing that lead to taken away everything my family had and was forced to flee with only the clothes and are now displaced in Alnusairat, awaiting their next move. Between August to October 2024, my family members are scheduled to arrive in Canada. But the specific timeline from the Canadian Government is still uncertain.
Family members in units are 4 family units , 15 people in total.
First Family Unit:
My mother
Second Family Unit:
My brother Emad’s widow (Fidaa) , and his three kids (Raed, Abdulrahman, Kareem)
Total of 4 people.
Third Family Unit:
My brother Mohammed , his wife Wafa and his 3 kids (Qais, Naimati and Yara)
Total of 5 people.
Fourth Family Unit:
My brother Zeyad, his wife Mai and his three kids (Majd, Mira and Rama)
Total of 5 people.
My family members are good human souls, they do not want to flee occupied Palestine, but due to the heartbreaking circumstances, we do not want to lose another family member, we do not want to give up on our hopes and dreams. My family wants to live. My family just want basic human rights.
I have broken down how the funds that we raise will be used to help accommodate the 15 members of my family coming to Canada:
- Accommodation in Cairo: Essential during the biometrics process and visa waiting period (1-2 months).
- Flight Tickets to Canada: Ensuring a secure and safe journey for our beloved family members.
- House Rentals: Providing a stable and secure living environment for their fresh start.
- Living Expenses: Covering monthly essentials like groceries, utilities, transportation, and basic necessities.
- Clothing, Shoes, and Electronics: Rebuilding their lives with the essential items they need.
- Healthcare and Therapy: Vital for the physical and emotional well-being of our cherished family members.
- Transportation in Canada (Bus Tickets): Facilitating mobility and integration within their new environment.
- Pocket Money: Supporting them until they secure employment through active job hunting upon arrival.
Your contribution is going to save my family lives.
From the depths of my heart, thank you for your unwavering support.
