Hello,
Thank you, for taking the time to consider providing us with much needed support with your giving. I'm grateful. If you know me, you know, I must be true to myself in all things. Here I am. The truth is that this page has been created upon the request of many friends and family members. My pride as a provider, husband, and father was resisting creating this page. However, there is too much at stake and the truth is that I am in need of support.
My wife of 18 short years has been diagnosed with cancer for the second time in her life. In her early teenage years she endured extensive radiation therapy and chemotherapy which forced her to live almost three year at Yale New Haven Hospital due to a multitude of complications. All in all, beating it was nothing short of a miracle. Unfortunately, the very radiation that saved her life once, almost 30 years ago, has generated a tumor in her neck. We have a long road ahead but she is taking on the fight, "the girls will know that I did everything I could." It's been a long 5 weeks since her diagnosis. We attained several opinions from multiple teams of physicians and hospitals, and finally landing at Sloan Kettering. A treatment plan is in place. We have hope and we have a God that is loving and powerful. He has the last word and it's always good!
The funds will go to the pile of medical bills we have already acquired and the ones on the many more on the way, along with monthly bills. Between the doctor appointments, caring for her at home, the overwhelming desire to spend the time we have together, all the while loving on, walking with, sitting with, and parenting, our two daughters, our monthly income has been impacted to say the least. I am in the middle of this seemly existential conflict of priorities crisis. My family needs me at home but my three jobs keep us afloat. I can't be at three places at once. These funds will address the financial barriers keeping me from being by her side now, the mounting debt and more importantly give me the opportunity to be with her in the upcoming weeks of extensive radiation treatments.
For those who don't know me. It's challenging to provide you with a few words that could capture all the work, spirituality, divine intervention, grace, love, courage, my wife, our daughters, and God have accomplished in me. Know this, I love fearlessly, honor compels me, principles direct me, courage empowers me, pain teaching me, proud to be good fruit on the vine. But, I really need you to know that she is sacred to me! She is an amazing being and she needs me by her side. This is my attempt to give her that. Thank you for your generosity! May He multiply it many folds and have favor towards you and yours!
