A Humble Request for Help from a Single Father

Dear friends and kind-hearted strangers,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Joshua Gammon and I am a single father to two wonderful children, Scarlett and Benjamin. I come to you with a heavy heart and a humble spirit, seeking your support during one of the most challenging times in my life.

Over the past year, I have faced significant hurdles. On May 24, 2024, I ruptured my Achilles tendon, an injury that took me by surprise and left me unprepared. Without insurance at the time, I had to rely on my savings, spending around $3,500 on medical expenses and rehabilitation to get back on my feet. I have committed myself to recovery so that I can return to work and provide for my family.

Unfortunately, I have fallen behind on my car payments and have been without insurance for the past few months. This situation has made it difficult for me to keep up with daily expenses and support my children. Scarlett’s birthday is coming up on May 6, and I find myself unable to do anything special for her, which breaks my heart.

In this time of need, I am reaching out with humility, recognizing that it is not easy to ask for help. I am setting a goal of $3,500 to help cover my outstanding car payments, insurance, and other essential expenses. Every dollar you can contribute will make a meaningful difference in our lives.

If financial support is not possible, there are other ways you can help. I am an aspiring pickleball instructor , and if you or someone you know is looking to learn, I would love to offer lessons. Additionally, any grocery gift cards or clothing for my children would be greatly appreciated. Scarlett wears a size 9 or 10 in girls and a size 3 in shoes, while Benjamin is in a large for men and size 11 in shoes.

I am reminded of Philippians 4:19, which says, "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." I trust that God will provide, and I am grateful for any support you can offer during this difficult time.
