A Humble Plea For A True Angel On Earth.

Please Help Support A Loving Mom, Wife, Sister, Daughter, Auntie, Niece, Cousin, Friend, and Nurse: Joanne Perez Aguilar.

Dear Family and Friends,

We have come to you today, to share one of the most difficult journeys that we have ever been through and we humbly ask for your support.

These past few months have heavily impacted our family beyond anything we could have ever imagined or been prepared for, and it has changed us in many ways forever.

On April 15th my sister, Joanne, collapsed at home, had no feeling from her neck down, and was taken to the hospital. After two weeks of rigorous examination after examination, doctors decided to perform surgery on Joanne. They went in to find that she had severe compression to her spine that left her with full paralysis to her entire body. She was also placed on a ventilator just to be able to breathe and is now in need of total 24 hour care.

After two long, stressful months of not even being able to communicate with my sister while she was in ICU, we are now happy to say that the doctors were able to perform a tracheotomy, a surgical procedure like an incision in her throat that allows her to be able to breathe and to speak.

Joanne is now at a rehabilitation center where she is getting physical and speech therapy each day, but she is still unable to breathe on her own, and the longer we are able to keep her at the rehab center, receiving the treatment that she needs, the more we know that she will continue to show signs of improvement, and will eventually gain all of the strength she needs to be able to come back home, and by the Will of God make a full recovery.

Joanne’s strength, determination, and positive spirit have been inspiring throughout everything she has endured. She has remained strong and steadfast in her Faith in The Lord, that God has provided her with the best medical team, medical facility, and support from friends and family that will allow her to prove that her strong Faith was not in vain.

Joanne is not just a loving mom to her adorable 3rd grade daughter Jiselle, a devoted wife to her loving husband Jorge, a loving daughter to Carolina, a caring sister to Ruby,a niece and cousin to The Garcia and Perez families, and a nurse who has dedicated her life to helping others, but she is also a beacon of light and hope, a woman of God, and the most compassionate person that I have ever met in my life.

We are reaching out to you today to help Joanne’s family in this time of need. Whether it's a small donation, a heartfelt message of support, or by simply sharing this fundraiser with others in our community, every gesture of kindness will make a meaningful difference to Joanne and her family.

With Your funds we are hoping to provide Joanne more time at the Rehab that she really needs to recover, and to be able to Relieve Financial Need for Total Care when we are able to finally bring Joanne back home.
