Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh (Peace be upon you),

This is the mosque of my Village named Palashtoly, located about 28 km from Mymensingh city, Bangladesh. This mosque serves nearly 100 families in my neighborhood, a community mostly of hardworking day laborers and marginal farmers.

I spent my entire childhood in this village. My earliest memories are tied to this courtyard, learning the Quran in the early morning Maktab, attending Daily prayers and Friday prayers, and standing for Tarawih during Ramadan. My uncles and neighbors are still struggling financially, yet their faith remains unshaken.

The Current Situation: The original mosque building has become fragile and unsafe. In early 2025, the villagers took the initiative to start building a new mosque complex on the same premises, situated to the right of the old structure. However, due to the humble economic condition of the locals, progress has come to a standstill.

The Need: The estimated cost to complete this new sanctuary is approximately 2.5 million BDT (25 Lacs). For a village of farmers, this is a monumental mountain to climb alone.

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said -

“Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise.” — (Sahih Muslim)

আসসালামু আলাইকুম ওয়া রহমাতুল্লাহি ওয়া বারকাতুহ,

এই হচ্ছে আমার গ্রামে দাদাবাড়ির মসজিদ। ময়মনসিংহ শহর থেকে প্রায় ২৮ কিলোমিটার দূরে অবস্থিত আমাদের গ্রামের এই মসজিদটি বর্তমানে অত্যন্ত জরাজীর্ণ ও ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ হয়ে পড়েছে। বর্তমান মসজিদের ঠিক ডান পাশেই (একই প্রাঙ্গণে) একটি নতুন মসজিদ কমপ্লেক্সের ভিত্তিপ্রস্তর স্থাপন করা হয়েছে।

আমার শৈশবের অজস্র স্মৃতি মিশে আছে এখানে। ভোরের মক্তবে কায়দা পড়া, শুক্রবারের খুতবা শোনা কিংবা রমজানের তারাবি, সবই কেটেছে এই চত্বরে। আমার গ্রামের সিংহভাগ মানুষই অতি সাধারণ, শ্রমজীবী এবং প্রান্তিক কৃষক।

এলাকাবাসীর নিজ উদ্যোগে ২০২৫ সালের শুরুর দিকে নতুন কমপ্লেক্সের কাজ শুরু হলেও অর্থাভাবে এর অগ্রগতি এখন নেই বললেই চলে। পুরো প্রকল্পটি সম্পন্ন করতে প্রায় ২৫ লক্ষ টাকা প্রয়োজন

রাসূলুল্লাহ ﷺ বলে --

“যে আল্লাহর সন্তুষ্টির জন্য একটি মসজিদ নির্মাণ করে, আল্লাহ তার জন্য জান্নাতে একটি ঘর বানাবেন।” (সহিহ বুখারি ও মুসলিম)

পুরানো জরাজীর্ণ মসজিদের পাশেই নতুন আল্লাহর ঘরটি নির্মাণের এই মহৎ কাজে শরিক হতে আমি আপনাদের সবার কাছে বিনীত আবেদন করছি। আমাদের ছোট ছোট অনুদানই পারে আমাদের এই স্বপ্ন পূরণের পথে এক ধাপ এগিয়ে দিতে।
