Kaitlyn (name changed to protect Her identity) is a 19 year old human trafficking survivor, who has overcame unthinkable traumas. Two years ago, she made the decision to seek help and leave the insidious life she has known since she was a child. Her determination to live the life she has always deserved has come to fruition. She is a straight A college student who is majoring in pre-med to become a physician who specializes in dementia and Alzheimer’s. This career path was chosen in response to working at a nursing home as a CNA with the elderly who suffer from such neurological disorders. Unfortunately, last semester she was required to drop a class in order to meet the increasing demands at her place of employment. In response, her full ride scholarship has been suspended for the semester. In order for her full ride scholarship to be reinstated, she must meet all the requirements (I.e. minimum of 18 hours and pass Her courses). However, she financially can’t make the monthly payments and will have to withdraw from school. Resulting in her full ride scholarship from being indefinitely suspended.
