A Hug for Merlin

Hello everyone,

As the parents of 3 beautiful fur babies, we've had quite a lot of progress over the past few months with Mr. Merlin. For those reading this, you might know Merlin as one of the most loving, sweet-natured, and unique curly-tailed cats. He's brought so much love to my life as his mom and so many lives he's encountered. Words can't express how much he's given me.

Now Merlin needs to be given something and we're looking towards our community and the people he's touched with his incredibly odd affection for assistance. A week ago Merlin began having issues walking with his hind legs, and we believed it to be a yeast infection in his paws. Taking him to the vet we hadn't imagined the possibilities they laid out for us.

We still don't know the cause of Merlin's ailment but we're getting closer. Our vet would like to look for Lymphoma, as they have found the problem in his nervous system. This means quite a lot of testing: X-rays, Ultrasounds, and MRIs to name a few. As parents, we are willing to do anything to make sure our decision will be the best for Merlin's quality of life as he has made ours ultimately better. We'd like to do the same for him.

There is no price we can put on his life, so we're asking for any help from those who have experienced Merlin's love, lost fur babies, and have a place in their hearts for a loving and incredibly important black cat.
