A horrific hit and run took place

Hello,
My name is Justin Hendriks. I am fundraising for Mike Kemp. On the morning of May 30th, at 6:50 am, Mike nearly completed his routine journey to work. As he crossed the overpass on Highway 44 and 16, a pickup truck came speeding up the approach failing to stop for the stop sign and T - boned Mike throwing him off his motorcycle into the ditch across the highway. The truck driver then made several attempts to flee the scene as the motorcycle was stuck beneath the vehicle; the individual was able to escape leaving Mike with no regard for his life, and is yet to turn themselves in. I got the call at 9:16 am from the University of Alberta hospital stating that he had been involved in a major accident and was being taken in for life-saving surgery. Needless to say, it was a devastating call to receive. Mike is a Son, Brother, Uncle and a close friend to so many people it's incredible. He has always been so quick to drop everything he is doing to help others in need and now for the first time he needs our help.
Without going into the extent of his injuries I can assure you this will be a long and hard road to recovery.
The funds raised will be used to help with the day to day costs of living and any other medical related expences that occur in the process of rehabilatation. Thanks to all that take the time to read this, please keep Mike in your thoughts during this time.
