This thing called GoFundMe.....

Hi! My name is Leela and this fundme page was made for a private Brain Tumor group we are apart of,but,it somehow went public. I immediately freaked out and requested those who shared to delete it. With a few friends telling me to accept help from people who care, I am giving it a whirl to accept. I do want it known why we decided to try this gofundme out. A dear friend set one up last yr and made it possible to get me to Mayo. To sum things up, I battled Horrific symptoms for years until I demanded a large Pituitary Tumor be removed vs playing the wait & see approach. It biopsied for Cushing disease. I was more than happy to prove all those drs wrong. I knew I wasnt 'just a hormonal woman' turning physically,emotionally, and mentally into a monster. Afterwards I suffered Adrenal Insufficiency bc the Cushings had taken over my adrenal glands. This means by body completely relied on an insane amount of steroids for cortisol replacement for me to keep functioning. After KU ER trips and to Mayo, come Oct 2016 I got them adrenals woken up. Only to still have problems..my neurosurgeon laughed when I suggested a pineal cyst might be causing them even tho I was a poster child for the symptoms. My husband Ryan found Dr Kim in Houston, known to be the best of the best for patients coming from around the country specifically for him. He confirmed March 22nd he will be removing my cyst by a craniotomy, but also informed us of a massive Arachnoid cyst that was playing a part as well. He suggested a shunt be placed permanently after I recover from round one. So thats my story. I admit it took guts to share, but more guts from my husband to let me. He works his ass off, we continue our life, children are ran all over for practices/games,etc, and hot meals at home together. We have to continue living, tho I desperately am anxious for this nightmare to be done. Ryan also just went to the night shift to make more money for our family and pay off medical expenses. This means he misses out on time with us, exhausted usually 24/7, not being able to coach our sons baseball team full time anymore, and so on, in attempt to pay off my KU and Mayo bills, and wanted to make this yr the yr we made our house a home after living in it for 2 yrs. But such is life and that'll have to wait awhile more. Leaving my 2 children for 16 days  is far more rough than asking for help. So yes the plane tickets,hotel, rental car, new medical bills, and eating is far more than we bargained for. So I ask for help from my friends/family so my ass can get this show on the road and prepare for the next one! Please know my family and I truly appreciate you. Thank you
