To all my Facebook family and friends it has been an 11 year journey since I left the military and we now have a great opportunity to purchase our first family home.
For those who are not aware my daughter Rebekah has muscular dystrophy and our current home is no longer a place that is safe for her. We have sixteen steps just to get into our current home and last winter when it snowed she fell down ten of those steps. Each day is a struggle for her to get up and down. By the time she makes it down the stairs she is worn out and struggles to make it to our vehicle parked in the apartment complex parking lot. To get her into our current home I personally have to carry her up those 16 stairs. This current place is no longer working for her and has become a complete hazard.
This past Saturday my family decided to venture out to look for a home because we knew that we could not renew our lease at our current home. We found a community that we were interested in and inquired to see if it was something worth learning about. When they did a credit check they came back to us with a prequalified offer for us. To my surprise and in complete shock we were able to see 3 models. Our family saw one model that we all loved and was perfect even for Rebekah.
We needed a thousand dollars to pull the house off the market and to pursue purchasing the home. God provided through our wonderful in-laws, may God bless them dearly for their support. That was on Sunday the second day. Now so far God has continued to say yes to the home with one provision after another.
Monday we gathered all the documents and had an appointment to turn them in on Tuesday.
Wednesday we had an update to find a few more documents one of which was my DD214 that had to say Member 4 on the bottom. It seemed like an impossible and extremely frustrating task. When I finally got home after work, I was on a mission to find it . It was a miracle from God when after going through four and a half years of military documents I finally found one single paper, the very one I needed and God vindicated the day.
Now today we are experiencing a Hail Mary of an Obstacle that is standing in our way. We need to have 2,560 dollars sitting in our bank account until the loan closes. Then we would finally be able to get our home. We need lots of prayer we don’t know where this money will come from. However, God has brought us this far having provided everything that I believe God will do the same thing with our new obstacle. I’m asking for prayer warriors to believe and stand in the trenches with us. Any support you may provide at this time would greatly be appreciated. Thank you and God bless you and your family.
