IN MEMORY OF NATALIA

With profound sadness, I share that Natalia Pozniak has passed away from the severe injuries she suffered in a traffic accident. She was laid to rest on October 4, 2026.

Natalia was 44 years old, a nurse, and the mother of a 15-year-old son. She spent her working life caring for others. Her son is now living with me, his father.

My name is Vladimir Shvartsman. I live in New York and I am the father of Natalia’s son. I am not Natalia’s husband. I am organizing this fundraiser to help our family meet the documented expenses that remain after her death.

WHY THE FUNDRAISER REMAINS OPEN

Although Natalia’s hospital treatment was not paid from this fundraiser, her death has left major immediate and continuing expenses. Donations will now be used only for:

• Funeral and burial expenses

• Outstanding bills and essential obligations connected with Natalia’s apartment and affairs

• Necessary living and travel expenses for Natalia’s mother, including helping her return home

• Transportation connected with the funeral and required administrative matters

• Death certificates, translations, notarization, government fees, and other necessary documents

• Legal assistance concerning the traffic accident, insurance matters, and the protection of Natalia’s and her son’s rights

Donations are deposited into my United States bank account. I will retain records of major expenses, transfers, and payments. If an expense is covered by insurance, compensation, or another source, donations will not be used to pay that same expense twice. Any remaining funds will be used only for the documented purposes listed above and for the needs of Natalia’s minor son arising from this loss.

ABOUT NATALIA

Natalia’s life was much more than the accident that took her from us. She was a nurse who helped frightened patients, noticed when something was wrong, explained what people needed to know, and stayed beside them when they needed care.

The photographs on this page show how we want Natalia to be remembered: smiling, wearing her blue medical scrubs, and surrounded by people who knew her as a colleague, friend, daughter, and mother.

Her son’s name and private information will not be published. Natalia’s original medical records also will not be posted publicly because they contain confidential personal information. Redacted documents can be provided privately to GoFundMe or another authorized reviewer if verification is required.

TRANSPARENCY

I will publish updates about significant expenses and any material change in how the funds are needed. When possible without exposing private information, I will provide redacted invoices, receipts, estimates, or summaries of major payments.
