I'm asking for help getting my family through one of the hardest periods we've ever faced. I’m working to move myself, my wife, our 4-year-old daughter, our 10-month-old son, and my disabled mother into a safe and stable home before our current home is auctioned on October 20.

In April, I lost my job because of restructuring. After that, we spent months trying to keep our household afloat while everyday costs kept rising. We used our savings to cover expenses, and eventually those savings were gone. I’ve now secured a job in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and we have a plan to move there and start rebuilding our lives, but our current home was foreclosed on and the deadline is getting very close.

Right now, what I need is the bridge between where my family is today and getting us safely into our next home. Donations will help cover the costs of making this move possible, including a security deposit, first month’s rent, moving expenses, utility deposits and setup costs, transportation, and other immediate moving expenses. Any extra support would also give us a small emergency cushion while we get established.

This has been incredibly stressful, but my biggest concern isn’t replacing what we’ve lost. It’s making sure my wife, my two young children, and my mother have somewhere safe to go. I have a job, and I have a plan.
